Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) availability on the NHS

We understand the media is reporting that Mounjaro is now available under the NHS, however this is ONLY to a limited group of patients.

You must be over 18, with a BMI of 40+, or 37.5+ if you’re from a Black, Asian or other minority ethnic background.

You must also have four or more weight related health conditions:

  • dyslipidaemia (abnormal fat levels in the blood)
  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • obstructive sleep apnoea (when your breathing stops and starts while you sleep)
  • cardiovascular disease (heart and blood vessel disease)
  • type 2 diabetes mellitus

Attleborough Surgeries are not yet in a position to prescribe Mounjaro.  This information will be updated once we are in a position to prescribe to eligible patients.
